Relaxing and sorting cables today (yes, I find this relaxing, lay off).

As a couple of AV nerds and former DJs, we have A LOT of unusual cables. How do y'all sort your cables? Do you ever get rid of anything? Why is this mono 1/4" audio cable sooooooo long and why did we buy it?
A curvy tangled cable probably several meters long with silver 1/4" audio plug ends sits in a ragged cardboard box.
