To be clear, I'm describing myself here down to the Girls State and debate qualifiers. It is really hard for those of us who have put our trust and careers in the hands of norms, institutions and peaceful transfer of power to see the moment it all breaks.

Speaking as a MoCo leftie, my fellow MoCo lefties tend to be a little starry eyed about the healing power of advocacy, elections, government (federal and local), and civil discourse.

TBH, there has always been tension in the MoCo organizing universe between mutual aid/electoralism and confronting power structures directly.
