This is what I came into the comments to say. It's all fine and good to say we need to be open to other ideas and try to debate instead of isolate..however when the other side is literally insane and babbling all of that nonsense, AND it's getting people killed, it isn't the time for a debate.

I agree with you completely, and maybe I'm just too negative or cynical, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll hope it happens but I expect it won't. Maybe I'll be surprised, it would certainly be nice to see people held accountable for their actions.

Another couple thousand off my 401k, probably. In two days I lost the equivalent of over 36 weeks of paycheck contributions. If the free fall doesn't stop by Monday close of business, I'm temporarily stopping contributions to my 401k. No reason to literally light my money on fire.

We put malignant narcissistic adult children in charge of our government, not much shocks me anymore. Them planning this over signal surprised me. This should be a much bigger deal than I think is being made of it.

Yup. 100% agree with everything you said. So many of them seem unwilling to cut ties with their "friends across the isle" when those same "friends" are destroying our democracy. Every single bill, nomination, anything, should be an absolute crawl uphill climb.

Ugh I'm so sorry :( I've only had it once (before paxlovid was widely available) and was so thankful I had been vaccinated. It was horrible. I hope you feel better really soon!
