I am loving the kaiju design in the manga, feels like a Gamera and Guiron mix, two of my favorites. We will certainly check this out once it airs.

I think that something would need to be elevated for a shin godzilla 2 to work. Looking at Hideaki's other work it would be interesting it this indeed incorporated other shin work like a full crossover with Ultraman.

Its no problem. We record these a few weeks in advance so we understand. We will continuously talk about books a lot on the show, interview some authors, and suggests some other media as well over the 200 episodes or so.

John Lemay's Big Book of Japanese Giant Monster Movies are great. Ishiro Honda's bio, Graham Skipper's Toho Godzilla book, and Jeremey Robinson' Nemesis books.

We are hoping to see either Gigan or Spacegodzilla, though a new alien threat would also be fine. But will our favorite kaiju find a way into space? Time will tell!
