As propaganda, this may work for the already believing. As business model, it will fail. Fox has all the low info RW viewers and won't give them up without a fight. So CBS (and CNN, when it goes even further down its rightward slide) will discover they lost their old viewers and got no new ones

As she said, "there are two truths". The evils that Hamas committed on 10/7, and the evils of the Israeli government's actions in Gaza, vis a vis civilians. I get dissed by parties on both sides whenever I mention the wrong evil.

I'm trying to square this with your post about tariffs not being collected yet, thus the decreased inflation. Are you saying they won't be collected - or are you saying the data in this post will prove out wrong?

I thought of that as I commented. :-) I was one of those that thought he'd be an easy opponent, but was culturally unaware of the crazy Apprentice rep/aura he had developed. Just don't see that with MTG.

I would be stunned if Mamdani didn't see right through this. He looked more like the adult son entertaining demented dad.

The first thing that popped into my mind was Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny:
Judge: "is that your opinion?"
Tomei: "No. It's a fact!" (that vaccines don't cause autism)

Ro's comment reminds me of the old story about Br'er Rabbit telling the fox and bear to please not throw him in the briar patch, except sort of in the reverse. "oh my, you will be SO FORMIDABLE! Please, please run for something competitive (so we can have an easy win)"

As a (mainly) retired psychiatrist and addictions specialist, I actually enjoyed the neurobiology part. It is a reminder that most of our brain is actually pretty primitive.
