And I mean we didn't learn anything from that thing that happened in 2020. So I highly doubt we're going to learn anything from everybody pooping themselves to death

As long as they have access to medical care and can get it treated in time. There are large portions of the US where this is not a given

Ich hoffe du bist nicht enttäuscht aber als Amerikaner habe ich wenig Hoffnung mehr.

It was already forcibly enabled on my account last week. There is a toggle switch to disable it in the admin control panel but it does not do anything. They are very good at giving the illusion of control lol

Do people really not configure ad blockers and anti-tracking to minimize that type of stuff? I mean I'm not totally covert online or anything but it's nowhere near as wild as it was in 2011 or so.

It appears that they're specifically going after the eurorack market at this point. I don't know how widespread it is, but many of the eurorack people I've talked to don't like it because it's not in a eurorack format so I have no idea what to think anymore

I own Live because of Push and that's after starting on bitwig. Bitwig could be so lucky to grab users away from other daws
January 23, 2025 at 3:14 PM
But the heart of my concern is that they are going to spend a bunch of time and money doing something that takes away from their core product to its detriment. Time will tell I guess
January 23, 2025 at 3:12 PM
It's very possible, but I would think something like a more generalized bitwig controller would make more sense because it would appeal to the entirety of bitwig's current user base as well as potential future users.
January 23, 2025 at 3:11 PM
And by market I mean people that are into eurorack and bitwig and are interested in a new offboard non-eurorack device
January 23, 2025 at 2:57 PM
That was the core of my criticism from the beginning. It seems like an odd choice for such an established company to go after such a niche market. This is the kind of device that some guy should be making in his garage. I can't imagine more than 1k people per year in that market at best
January 23, 2025 at 2:56 PM
Yeah, I understand now. Everybody has only been confirming my suspicions as to how niche this things is
January 23, 2025 at 2:51 PM
That's fair. I guess I just take for granted the fact that I own four other devices that have CV capabilities that I use with bitwig. It is a device aimed at a very very specific group of people. I just assumed they would sell something with a wider appeal
January 23, 2025 at 1:45 AM
A dedicated controller would absolutely make more sense because that's something that the majority of bitwig users could justify purchasing imo
January 22, 2025 at 5:14 PM
I have no doubt that there are some people that would be interested in it, but that would be people that don't already own an audio interface which is a small percentage and people that choose bitwig which is an even smaller percentage.
January 22, 2025 at 5:13 PM
I'm genuinely shocked why they would be entering a commodity market such as audio interfaces. The only competitive advantage of this interface is that it's orange

The point being, AI doesn't work and that's why they are going after art.
January 15, 2025 at 2:22 PM
The part everyone keeps missing is that they are going after art because it has abstract requirements. AI can kinda fake some art type stuff and who are you or I to say it's not art? AI won't be faking its way into engineering
