That's a good question. I've only done mainly testing with this game than actually playing it LOL. From what it seems the magic is pretty useful for bosses.

Most of the translation has been done by Josep. Same person that has been translating the Ys V Scenario Draft and also runs the Falcom Music Channel on Youtube. The translation itself isn't final as I do have some folks that will help edit it.

Right now going to the Magic Stones menu just leads to a black screen that I have no idea why it happens. Hopefully I can get this fixed soon. I'm really hoping to get betatesting soon! Thank you so much for all of the support, everyone! I would not have gotten this far without all this support! 🙏🙏🙏

I have been working on a translation for the PS2 version of Ys 5 actually! I've already made a lot of good progress on it. It should be ready for beta testing soon! I also would love to see Falcom make a remake of the game themselves!

LOL I feel that. It's a lot worse with hacking stuff since I need to figure out the *decompiled code* so useful stuff like variable names, function names, and comments from the original game's source code is all not available. So I have to do a lot of work to figure out all of this. It's worth it!

Yeah it's really funny how close apart all these games were. Ys 3 PS2 released only a few months before Oath in Felghana did! Taito even ported 4 and 5 to mobile phones.

That makes sense LOL. I'm not quite sure how the market works but do fantranslations usually result in these type of games becoming more expensive? Since there's a bit more of a demand for them.
