They’re also *not wrong* we have a political economy where young people have very little space to be less than perfect. The job market is collapsing for them - I’ve recently found myself being a sympathetic ear for freaked undergrads who are not my students bc I do small talk when I travel.

I find this weird bc isn’t vehicular cycling riding defensively? Isn’t taking the lane riding defensively? Isn’t looking both ways before crossing the street walking defensivel? wtf is this.
