At least 100 minors—including at least 6 childre under 12—had to leave TX for abortion in 2023. Child welfare advocates say most of the pregnancies resulted from rape.

In 2021, Greg Abbott shrugged off concerns about his abortion laws by pledging to "eliminate rape":

A Louisiana court has indicted a NY doctor for prescribing abortion pills via telemedicine.

Experts are skeptical they can enforce a judgment even if they get a conviction, but it could still create a chilling effect for other doctors in blue states.
