This is a huge win for koalas and nature. By protecting the forests that 12,000 koalas call home, the Minns Gov has drawn a line in the sand against the destruction of Koala habitat in northern NSW & taken decisive action to secure the future of one of Australia’s most loved species.

In America, even with a valid study visa, you can be picked up off the street at random and detained by homeland security (if you’re a Muslim that co-writes something that the government doesn’t agree with).

Land of the free? Whoever told you that is your enemy.

This is Soviet level shit.

Friday good news - the threatened scarlet-chested parrot was spotted in far western NSW at Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary on Barkandji country.

It’s the fourth recording of the species in the area over the last five years, providing valuable insight into the ecology of the species to guide conservation.

Breaking Labor’s 2022 election commitment, @albomp.bsky.social has shelved the proposed reforms to Australia’s 25-year-old environment laws, again.

So what might we expect in the next term of government?
