I wrote an article in the IT History Journal about the first person in history to lose his life in a robot-related accident — and how this event changed the industry.

A virus just 376 bytes in size took over the world in 11 minutes.

I’ve just written what might be the article for the IT History Journal - about the fastest-spreading virus in history.

Strangely, very few people have ever heard this story.

30 years ago, the first release of Java (JDK 1.0) happened.

I love the very first logos of the programming languages. They feel so warm😊

I wrote an article about Java in the IT History Journal 😊

On January 22, 1984, Apple aired its legendary “1984” commercial.

It was an ad for the Macintosh. I wrote an article about it in the IT History Journal.

IT History Journal is a daily digest of key moments in IT history and how they shaped the way we live today.

I built a simple freemium API for TimeMagic so it can be used however you like.

Writing your own data is free.
Reading your own data is paid.

Just made the smartest button in the history of Rails😄

Tramway 2.2.3

Just wrote an article on Medium, how I taught AI to write e2e-tests in the way I like!

Honestly, I became happier when this stuff worked 😊

Time spent on walks, sports, and taking care of your health can now be logged separately in TimeMagic.

I’m honestly horrified at how little time I’ve spent on this over the past month 🥲

Here is the screenshot.
These are only activities; projects can be logged separately in TimeMagic.

Today, January 17, is the birthday of Anita Borg (1949–2003).

Now my clients will have good navbars in the mobile versions of their admin panels 😊

I build Tramway for myself as well, so I can provide clients with quality stuff and stay focused on the things that really matter 😊

I spent 8 years building a framework so Ruby developers could type just a few lines of code and get EVERYTHING 😄

Watch with sound 😊

If you recognized the music from The Avengers — you're right 😊

Tramway is finally done!

I’ve been building this framework for 8 years, wiped it clean twice, and started over from scratch.

All of that just so Rails applications could have the exact kind of CRUD I WANT to work with.

Over the years, it has been used in around 40 projects.
January 12, 2026 at 10:08 PM
I revived an old project I used to make screencasts for my Linux course.

It generates videos where you can control the typing effect and how code snippets are displayed 😊

From now on, I’ll be publishing them this way 😊

When you use your own product every day, you naturally start noticing small things that can improve the user experience.

I’ve just added quick-start buttons for time tracking.

You can find TimeMagic here: time.purple-magic.com

The core features are free now.

Just wrote a quick reminder that a GitHub account can help a developer get hired.

Almost every developer should have

1. Pet Projects
2. Own libraries
3. Contributions to small projects
4. Contributions to big projects

You can now easily track time spent on parties, household routines, movies, shows, games, and paperwork with my TimeMagic app.

The core features are free to use 😊

Just sign up at time.purple-magic.com.

You’ll instantly get a set of default activity categories that are worth tracking.

Made an update to my Tramway framework!

Tramway 2.0.4

✅ Disabled button styles have been implemented

When you call `tramway_button disabled: true`, not only is the button disabled, but it also turns gray regardless of the selected color.

Updates on my application TimeMagic time.purple-magic.com

Added a new project type, “Tech Startup”

It comes with a set of default activities that are typical for any startup but startup developers - especially solo developers - often forget to track time for, even though they absolutely should.

When you add links to your LinkedIn profile (to your articles or other resources), make sure to also write a short description for them right in LinkedIn.

Most modern website social images are 16:9, and without a description, they look pretty sad in the LinkedIn feed.

I have loved and played the Mortal Kombat series for about 20 years now.

I played every mainline entry, and I'm confident that I play four of them at an excellent level. That is thousands of hours invested over two decades.

This isn’t a question for programmers or Ruby developers.

In my code library, there’s a method called tramway_button. When you call it, you get a button on the page. BUT!
If you open the page’s source code, you’ll sometimes see a <button> tag, sometimes an <a> tag (a regular link) ->
