Design the game so that its apparent that the way players approach enemies normally won't work. As long as they can see that AND you at least hint how they should approach them, you'll be fine.

Yeah but it's not the same. Tatsunoko is really a Japanese property. Anyone outside of Japan really isn't familiar with the properties & so sells will probably not be great.
