Working on designing table top games. Discord server will be opened when I feel I have content for it that makes it worth joining.
I'm currently calling it Otherside TCG, and it will have more simple effects and be a game I'll be less distraught to find issues with and be able to adjust. Obviously, since it's still a tcg, I think it's best for that to still be a side project for now while I work on board games.

So, my priorities will shift a bit for the purpose of gaining experience by working on things that won't make me want to give up if they fail. I'm going to try to work on more conventional tabletop game types, as well as experiment with a different tcg idea I've thought up.

I haven't really made a game before, of any type, and it makes sense that a beginner will fail a few times due to lack of experience, and it doesn't help that Soulcross is a bit of an ambitious project, not only being a tcg, but also a semi-complex one, card effect wise.

But now I'm stuck, because I'm trying to use seven colors, but I can't think of the seventh philosophy of playstyle for the final color. It makes me feel like cutting it from the game, but then I get to a point where I might as well just use the MTG colors.

I've realized that trying to do color tribalism like MTG and Pokemon, but the ability to be as aesthetically and mechanically variable as Yugioh doesn't work without the colors' identities being very broad like the philosophies of MTG's colors, instead of having each color have a mechanical theme.
