Please note that Trump assigned Michael Whatley to oversee NC’s recovery and Whatley is now running for Thom Tillis’s Senate seat against former Governor Roy Cooper (a really decent and accomplished person). Anyone infuriated by this mess should donate to Cooper’s campaign.

My Congressman Mark Harris (NC) is a Baptist minister. He won’t say a peep about how gross this statement is. Neither will my Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd (a seminary grad). Maybe a good reporter will ask them about it.
