We got a good amount of snow last night so I dragged my sick body out of the house to walk through the meadow. There were dozens of red breasted but-hatches eating the sumac that had been thawed by the sun. They let me just stand and watch them for a while as Lugh rolled in the snow down the hill.

We've all been sick for over a week and Thai food is on the way. Let the healing begin!
