years from now, when AI is deeply embedded in nearly every aspect of life, there will be a renewed craving for content made by humans

art, music, film, literature, essays—anything shaped by genuine human experience—will become deeply valued

it's now nearly impossible to run a simple regression model on Colab or Kaggle

even a basic function to preprocess data maxes out a GPU

feels like a strategy to push people toward Colab Pro

the idea that quantum computing will break encryption is far-fetched, it ain't happening

breaking digital signatures is more plausible

tho RSA/TLS protocols could theoretically be compromised. with enough computing power, the signatures can be forged

SHA-256 is still king

i've been battling with a model that maxes out P100 and A100 GPUs—not even during training but just while setting up a tokenizer for a fine-tuned Llama 3 (8B)

implementing AI, particularly large language models, is a resource-intensive endeavor and utterly draining… 😒
