I think you’re right on this point. If you are struggling week to week, as too many in this country are, it is very hard to see over that wall of pressing doom and focus on anything else.

(1/2) I empathize with the rage. Morning after Election Day I was furious at the willful ignorance of our people. I remember saying every state above the Mason Dixon should close and fortify its southern border, so that Trumpeteers fleeing climate disasters in the future could be turned away.

People trust people that they know, or in this case feel that they know. Anecdotal evidence from a trusted source consistently Trumps (pun intended) cold data. We’ll never get the majority of people to trust, or even understand, statistics.
