Also, in middle school, I had to sign several permission slips for my oldest child to check out certain books. Most of them were LGBTQ books, but I also had to sign for “Lolita”. So I’m just saying - parents already have a voice. They already have control.

I’m a parent of a couple of kids in the Texas school system and this law is not only awful, but superfluous. This might shock you to discover, but I actually had to opt my child IN for an all-access library pass. You can opt OUT. They already section certain content out of the general library.
