I'm saying it would not affect them, look at how the MAGA base has reacted, it's nice to see people at town halls but the majority of his base does not care about any of the corruption that has occurred and have cheered at federal firings etc, I've been in many arguments with them.

The fallout would be the Republican using their spin machine to say that democrats prevented the bill to be passed and to save the country deep cuts had to be made. MAGA would eat that up, it's fucking insane.

I believe the courts would not be able to rule against Trump if the government were shutdown, which they can now and even though it's painful a lot of the fired workers are getting reinstated and his actions are being rebuffed.
