Haworthia maybe? They like it dry. Most are on the smaller side but I have a dinner plate sized one on my desk. I’ve seen some aloe get pretty big if you need something larger. They’re desert plants so they’ll have a good chance. Some cacti too maybe?

Lift cracked me up Edgedancer but Dawnshard is definitely better. Rysn is a great character. It's hard reading other fictions works because of how well Sanderson develops even his side characters. He makes the characters in other author's works feel unfinished and dull.

Calling all harsh vocals "screamo" is super cringe to me! For me it was like that concept of gateway drugs. Started with all cleans. Then hearing stuff with grit and maybe a scream here and there. My gateway bands were SOAD, A7X, Rise Against, etc. (this was clearly 2005 LOL). And then I was ready!

The animal argument is one of industry’s favorite defenses, as they know we can’t test on humans and thus get to keep putting toxins in products. That exposure argument of dose does not apply for the development of cancerous or precancerous cells. Even a small dose can cause the first mutation.

That’s not the point of the warning. Most cancer is caused by cumulative and consistent exposure. The standard toxicology model of “the dose makes the poison” does not apply here. The warnings are to advise you to limit exposure to materials and chemicals known to cause cancer.

They have everyone in the band contribute songs now so you get some very different sounding influences depending who composed it. Their live performances are crazy now too. They have a bunch of videos up from the “Symphonic Synergy” show that are just epic

For some reason at the time when this came out I didn’t like this song. It definitely grew on me over the years though! If you haven’t checked out their newer stuff you totally should. I don’t listen to much either now but Epica keeps getting better and more interesting.
