Blending women’s fiction with cosy fantasy, this tale of love, loss and larger than life friendship is a hilarious as well as a moving one. Plus, we should all #BeMoreBabs!

And btw the whole “know” thing doesn’t mean you need to share your whole life. Pet pics and bookshelves/tbrs are always a winner. What’s your favourite thing to share about your book/writing? 6/6

Et voila - a lot of authors already do this because they’re excited to share their writing (and that excitement is your nr 1 superpower!!!) but being aware of this journey can really help you when you’re stuck for what to post/share. 5/?

So then we’re at step 3: Trust
Readers need to trust that you and your book will deliver the reading experience they’re looking for.
There’s lots of ways of doing this but can include: snippets, talking about your characters, talking about your reading taste and comps for the book. 4/?

Step 2: Like
To be clear this doesn’t necessarily mean they need to like you as a person (though it doesn’t hurt). For books something about your book needs to appeal to them. That could be the genre, a trope, a character or setting. So here dive deeper than only repetition of title/cover. 3/?

Starting with step 1: Know
This is pretty straightforward. Readers need to know about you and your book. Repetition will be key for this as we need to see a name or title or cover a lot of times to remember them. Once a reader is at this stage they might follow you on socials. 2/?

I fell in love with Susan’s Witchlands series from the very first chapter all those years ago when I was part of her street team (#VoidClan forever!).

The series has grown so much and each installment is more phenomenal than the last. I can’t wait to get my eyeballs on the finale!!!
