loving the attention to detail by continuing the colour theme on all devices ... although, with my spray painting skills, if I tried this it would look no where near that clean lol

Current Specs:
- Pentium MMX 233MHz CPU ⚡
- 256MB RAM (a bit overkill for the era – typical I believe was 32-64MB, what did you have?)
- S3 ViRGE/DX Graphics Card 📺
- Generic SoundBlaster-compatible sound card 🔊
- 16GB CF HDD (modern twist 💻)
- CD-ROM drive 📀

... This setup runs the Monkey Island CD-ROM version perfectly, but I'm looking at period-correct upgrades to make it even faster and capable of more mid/to late-90s titles. The graphics card is at the top of my list ... the ViRGE is decent for 2D but struggles with 3D games. What do you recommend?

... Hoping to drop below 15 seconds so I can actually sign up for some local comps and see how I do 😄 Sub-20 feels like the next fun goal ... Anyone else cube? Drop your times or fave cubes below (mine is currently the GAN12) ... curious to hear!✌️

... Mine is currently #speedcubing, as just got back into it after a while away, and I'm loving it again! Averaging under 30 seconds on the 3x3 now, with my best single solve at 21 seconds.🎲🔥 (cont.) ...

😍 ... I'm very tempted to do this

Very cool ... can't wait to build this one!

not for this one as there's nothing to fix lol, but plan do plan on making some shorts, showing all the different computers in my collection.

not sure if you would class as single screen, but only one I can find that sort of meets that brief, is "Wizard of Wor". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizard_...

interesting, that's one rivalry I wasn't aware of ... but generally it still amazes me after all this time, it can still be a touchy subject for the few lol

Don't tell anyone, but I agree! :)
January 21, 2026 at 8:21 PM
we all know it's your favourite computer really ;)

Luckily, I've got my SD2IEC plugged in and FASTLOAD cartridge inserted to test this one out with. No waiting 10 minutes for a tape to load for me.😂 ... So, it looks like I'm gaming like it's 1982 tonight. I just have to ask, what games does everyone recommend I check out to play.🤔

Nice addition to the collection, with this lovely boxed Commodore 64 (1982 breadbin edition). And wow, I can't believe how clean this one is, both inside and out (check out the photos, for some 6510 CPU and SID chip magic 📸).

Also, most of these N64s, also have damaged shells, so plan to replace with some nice transparent ones. Which colour🧡💚💙💜 was your favourite? Also have to ask, as it's something I want to get more into, is what mods does everyone recommend I checkout (RGB, LED etc) for these.🤔

Bonus, on one N64 that I picked up for £28 ($38 USD) with controller and leads, is that it came with a MEMORY EXPANSION PAK🎉, which is always a nice surprise. Sadly, the PSU on that one didn't work, but should be an easy fix. Fancy a video on that?📹 (cont.)

i did give those 3 the 3d-printing treatment a while back :) bsky.app/profile/kari...
Who remembers Yorgle, Grundle and Rhindle then? Yep, the classic dragons from the hit #Atari2600 game "Adventure" that I designed and bought to life with #3DPrinting. Let me know what #retrogaming characters you would like to see me design and print next (cont.) ...
