tldr they are young and impulsive and i love the messiness that comes with exploring this dynamic and how the show is not shying away from telling us that this entire relationship is a terrible idea with how the characters act.
(also sidenote i'd love to see some family background from farm tbh)

i'm so curious where they are going to take their storyline bc atm i don't see them ending up happily ever after. they are going to crash and burn and i am seated !! watching that happen. they are way more complex than ppl give them credit for and surfjava are doing so great at portraying them!

and him accepting that weak ass apology so quickly when hes been so self aware all this time is kinda crazy but checks out bc hes been so desperately in love for ages. but like the vibes are kinda off and we all see that and farm and van also know that, they are just actively ignoring it.

meanwhile farm knows exactly what van is up to but he has been pining for so long that he doesn't care anymore. he knows van won't change but he'd rather take this chance and have a taste than never being able to date van at all and being stuck in this weird inbetween until van finds someone new.

bc van has been teasing and pushing farm all this time and it kinda seems that he thought he could push some more but he went too far and now he got himself into a relationship that we all (farm too) know and have seen he isn't ready for.

farm basically told him that he is waiting for van to make a move if he wants to, and van got scared that farm is going to leave him and got encouraged by what farm said to his parents so he asked him out on a whim and didn't seem like he actually expected farm to react so positively?

van clearly has avoidant attachment issues and he loves farm, maybe as a friend, maybe more, but he is not in a headspace to go on a self discovery journey and is clearly still struggling with trauma so he just runs from one mess to the next instead of working through his shit.
