Exactly! Diminishing the value of the humanities and arts is an easy way to kill all creativity and ideation. Scientific innovation is nothing enough, and also will suffer. We need dreamers, writers, painters,poets.

Hmmm, universal healthcare country resident here…I thought about seeing my dr this morning, went online and booked an appt to see her Friday (could have got in sooner, but that was most convenient for me)…the US is being fed lies about universal healthcare.

It’s amazing how people don’t understand that when you invest in people, and work to lift everyone up, the economy can then (and only then) accelerate in a sustained way.

I will say, it’s easy for trad women to support the “old ways”, ie traditional female/male roles when they HAVE the rights to fall back on. There is no loss for them, which is what feminism fought for…woman’s right to decide how they want to live their life. See what they say when options go away.

Yes! This is by nature a cost center, not a profit center. A govt service ideally is cost neutral, but by no means a failure if it ends up existing money, that’s literally what taxes are for (not tax breaks for billionaires)
