Frankly, it is disturbing that you can drive from 17 years old to 70 years old without an eye test. That's up to 53 years driving a machine that can kill, without getting your eyes checked.

I wish there was a way to disable 'shooting in America' breaking news stories on the BBC news app.

In the same way that crumbs on the sofa happen when I allow my kids to eat on the sofa, shootings will happen in a country that allows almost unfettered access to guns.

It's not 'news', is it!?
