There was an article in the NYT magazine in the early 2000's about the GWB administration gutting of the New Source Review. There was basically no recovering from it because the projects were approved and started. It was probably an early blueprint for the executive branch acting in bad faith.

I think the NC Democratic party’s slogan should be “there is a better way” and “we can fix this.” The GOP has destroyed services in this state and they don’t care because it has nothing to do with getting money to their cronies.

These assholes have ignored NC for years. We are basically a 50/50 state but the GOP has almost a supermajority in the state legislature. They can take their fainting couches and shove them.

This is how most modern churches operate. Cherry pick the Old Testament to justify ignoring the literal words of Jesus, because following the words of Jesus is hard or they just don’t want to.

Jesus fulfilled the promise of the Old Testament and Christians don’t need to follow those laws. So, citing the Old Testament is disingenuous? (I know Christians love to do this)

Musk will lard the company up with so much debt it won't be worth suing. A company has to have cash in order to get sued. It is very difficult to go after executives in those situations.

We need to get beyond the obsession with "messaging" in the modern media environment. There is no perfect message. If everyone believes Trump is a lunatic and out of control, let them. Just sell yourself as the alternative to that nonsense.

The right doesn't want to debate their ideas, they want to eliminate all opposition. They don't want us to exist. If these jokers don't realize this, then they have never even bothered to take a peek at the other side. I have to admit, that is one hell of a bubble.
