Excellent! I'm aware of the Garcia Marquez, but I still haven't watched it! One of my WIPs is in part magical realism, and I like to feed my imagination with works in the genres I'm writing, especially ones by such literary giants.

Added to my long TBR. I see Netflix has a recent film version. Have you seen that? If so, do you recommend it as well? I'll read the book, too. Just curious.

I've been thinking about rewatching this and imagining it as a documentary looking back at these years.

Maybe something *will* come of it. Maybe after enduring this, these military leaders will put their loyalty to the Constitution above their loyalty to the Commander-in-Chief when he orders them to do illegal things. Or if he tries to cancel the midterms, launch a military coup to restore democracy?

When Trump tries to cancel the midterms, maybe we can hope for a military coup that restores democracy?
