Yeah it might've been more obvious if Katanagatari was adopted by Shaft and not White Fox because, having rewatched them so close together, I can definitely see some similarities in writing when it comes to tone, humour, action scenes and so on. Not to mention both are very convo/dialogue heavy.

Recently rewatched both Bakemonogatari (the first season), and Katanagatari (both based on novels by Nisio Isin), and while I like both, I think Katanagatari holds up better for me and how my tastes evolved since I watched them when they first aired.

The new cover reveal for MAO vol.26 which will be out November 18, 2025.

Realizing ey eye / El El ems also ruined the word "prompt" for me somehow.

There is an aspect of big budget games that wants/wanted to recapture the feeling of entering Hyrule Field in OoT for the first time, and I think an aspect of FFXI that's a little underappreciated are the environmental-navigational puzzles that you have to think through even if you know where to go.

It feels like the fictional aspect of exploring ancient and abandoned areas in FFXI like Garlaige Citadel and Quicksand Caves that were inhabited by peoples that have since moved on, has become non-fictional in the sense of new players essentially exploring Ye Olde Leveling Dungeon.
