My new work, "The Question of Seven: Sic et Non." It’s a visual clash between my love for medieval Romanesque art and abstraction. The title is a nod to Peter Abelard's demand for dialectic. I built the entire composition around contradiction: tempera vs. oil, figure vs. cypher.

I wanted to paint on solid wood but could not find anything that quickly; as a good solution, I decided to paint the wooden table. The only negative aspect is the impossibility of using the table in the distant future. 😁 Here are some images of my labour. #artistherescueoftheinsanity #artonblusky

Robert Hayden said that “all art is pain suffered and outlived.” That worked for me. However, I don’t experience creating art as a painful process. The excruciating process is marketing your art, which is my real issue.
