John for the majority of Thunderbolts is an insensitive ass towards Bob. And I could get the enemies to lovers angle, but it's only a one-sided tension really! John is a dick and says something shitty to Bob and Bob is just kind of hurt by it and calls him out. How is that romantic?

I want both the fans and creators to continue to interact with his character with the nuance he deserves. Please don't just woobfiy him as some over emotional divorcee who has no control over his words or actions because he's just so sad and angry. He's a grown ass man!

He's an arrogant, self centred character with a lack of emotional intelligence/empathetic understanding and he's lived a life of significant privilege for the most part. I don't want him to be flawless and I don't want him to not be a character in the MCU.
