Definitely. Most of it was destroyed as far as i know. Read plenty about the war as i had read books about holocaust and camps. Moscow getting a taste from Ukraine recently.
Also , narrow roads, where tanks could barely get through towns and front gun tore through corner buildings. Berlin, also.

Agreed, but i served in army during Vietnam, in war torn Germany. Talk about science!!

i know of what you speak!! MANY buildings had holes of 50 caliber, including the ball bearing factory i lived near...it had warning signs on all bricked up windows and doors!! It had been bombed by air.

i try to stay mostly disconnected from the noise after a friggin DECADE of him. Unfortunately my history with him is ACTUALLY 25 + years as he was in NJ when i remarried a guy from there. one third of my life but at least I'm not ivanka.

yep.. if you knew where to look, all over town had 'markings' of both world wars.
The castle on hill, hospitals, museums,
wine cellars all had symbols. Parks as well.
We usually had trouble calling other military hospitals of ours for lab supplies and transfusion blood. Cell phones were a GIFT 🤣💯
