so my new cleaning lady visited for a mutual interview today, and didn't run screaming at the dog hair. actually, she was oddly fascinated with my hair (which is almost an equal threat in the home cleanliness environment). i have help, this is great.

I'm Canadian and contemplating setting up an artist residency, specifically for trans artists (I'm a writer - there's potentially space for a trad painter, definitely space for a digital worker of any sort.) Looking for pointers from anyone who has done this sort of thing. Flowers for your eyes.

Ok. I fucking resign as a human when there are people who stand to wipe, defying science and reality. No, don't ask me why my random net play led me here, but here I am. A pox on all of you.

@tkingfisher.com I just finished Nettle and Bone and it's been a long time since a book simultaneously terrified and nourished me to this degree. Bereft that it's over. So sad I had to get Seventh Bride so I can read more of your glorious, witty, sly, furiously subversive, feminist fairytales.

I still think he's dead and they are relying on old photos and AI vids to pretend he isn't. We all know many others control/can post on social media. Give me the demented man with a real journalist (not the fucking white house pressers)

Wow, I muted a lot of things just now for my mental health. I'm Canadian and can obsess less about the idiocracy occurring south of me, and focus more on people here making a difference, making art, making a joke, making food. Here's one of my favorite Canadian artists, Jean Smith (Vancouver)

The AI intrusion - I was just trying to edit a website I run on a volunteer basis for the strata where I live, and got a giant pop-up asking me "how could I imagine AI improving my experience" so I said "not at all" and oh boy did that set the AI off? Five more questions. All an emphatic NO.
