Of course the critical difference between that hypothetical scenario and the actual scenario currently unfolding is that there's Dudely Dude-men in both the Oval Office *and* the Secretary of War positions. Which Stephen Miller thinks is decidedly a better way to get to nuclear winter.

The 80 hours/month "community involvement" requirement means Medicaid is no longer a particularly good fit for a lot of gig workers. It's frequently not very steady employment.

Yes. Very definitely. Pedo Prez has done serious damage to the US's competitiveness in the EV market. The Chinese ones are definitely nicer than all the American made options.

I can't use mine when it's too hot either. The first few days of the year when it's cool enough for the weighted blanket I always sleep better than I had all summer. I'm a sensory avoider as far as light, sound and smell go but sensory seeker for taste and touch.
