Quite the opposite, imo. It seems there is no bottom to this well of white, aggrieved, well-educated, mostly men who somehow think they are superior to everyone else on the planet by virtue of their existence and skin color. Yuck.

Where does the power come from to do? And during the shutdown? They can't find ANY law that allows them to feed their own people, but somehow Trump can move money out of the country on his own whims?

What are the statistics on this? Prior to this current insanity that we living in, when we had inspectors and safe facilities that we could trust.

We have been saying this for DECADES. Stop looking at the wrong things and look up. All those rich, mostly white, mostly male people are your problem. But they won't listen and destroying everyone and everything in the process. Grr.

It's more an indictment of his followers. I can't get over the BS they continue to swallow. And racism is at the root of it. As long as they can hate who they want, they'll let him rob this country blind, and starve everyone to death.

I am so sorry. This was such a punch in the gut. Right back to where we were 40 days ago, with the people who NEVER honor their promises. I am furious.

Then why did they cave? They got nothing to lose. They could have held the line - I hate them more now knowing they aren't running. It is so appalling how these politicians only care about themselves.

Listening to you right now and trying so hard not to cry. What does this country's democratic leadership stand for? Because it sure ain't us. We NEED these subsidies and everyday safety nets. What do we have federal legislators for? Can we just have state coalitions now? Paper tigers, all of them.

So whenever people say our union is strong to weather this “blip”, we have these cowards at the helm, and this happens. Thanks for turning our historic wins last week into defeat.

Hammer this last point home. Won't negotiate tax credits for healthcare, but voted for tax CUTS for billionaires. Won't hold a vote while they get paid doing NOTHING.

I don't want their greedy money and inhumanity. I just want them to be taxed fairly so we can use it to be a kind and generous society and do right by our people, so we never have to go through this again.
