Wikipedia is brilliant for things you know nothing about and terrible for anything you do know something about. I adore it and support it - even more so after learning about some of the early history!

You can enhance the character of a place by doing new build well in good materials in the right place and keeping hold of important things like urban tree cover.Conservation always was about managing change well - and hopefully not building the slums of the future.
