Great to be hosted at the VUmc in Amsterdam for a #PSC meeting. It was a new experience to attend a small highly-specialised meeting. We are rare people who work on a rare disease!

Kate’s career path has been anything but linear, and that is something she celebrates. She began her scientific journey in Australia, earning her PhD in Biochemistry at La Trobe University, before moving to Oxford to take up postdoctoral roles in cancer biomarkers and stem cell biology.

Her current work focuses on leading the multidisciplinary clinical research trial DYNAMHIX in PSC Study, drawing together computational and clinical approaches to address important questions in immunology and gut health.

Why? Becasue, I minimise my acheivements, feel apologetic, feel embarassed and start visualising megalomanics.

I'm banning myself from drafting it (beyond accuracy) because it will not improve how it presents me.
