Infected with Victory Gundam/Katejina Loos brainrot
I probably should too, I haven't finished any of them, honestly.

And when Fa rescues the Zeta, it's stuck in Wave Rider mode. Kamille truly sacrificed his body to kill Scirocco. And in New Translation, where Kamille mentally survives, he's able to come back, to return the Zeta to human form

And in the final episode, even though he has a beam saber, he chooses to kill Scirocco by becoming the Wave Rider. But by doing this, he sacrifices his identity. He chooses to weaponize something that gave him joy. Mobile Suits are both human and weapon but the Wave Rider is only weapon now/

The track "Riders in the skies", the beautiful piece that plays at critical moments in Zeta is also called "Kamille's Theme". The final episode is also Riders in the Skies, because Kamille IS that rider. He's the Zeta's Wave rider, that's probably what he relates to the most about the Zeta/

Ahh! I love talking about the Zeta's Wave rider and what it means for Kamille. Kamille was someone who loved flying, and the ability to fly often symbolizes freedom. Kamille, a kid who was neglected and abused, probably wanted freedom more than anything. And so he gave his Gundam, his body, flight

(The mother i was referring to previously was Shakti)/ symbolism inherent in Katejina rejecting motherhood and foisting it onto Shakti instead. And how Uso and Karlmann being a father-Son pairing means that whoever takes the role of Karlmann's mother, also takes the role of Uso’s partner
February 9, 2026 at 6:08 PM
I could go on a multiple hour long rant about that. Like, in episode 10, we see a picture of Katejina and also a memory of Uso’s mother and look how SIMILAR they are! There's also the fact that Uso’s other main love interest is an actual mother taking care of a baby. And the symbolism inherent in/

For Kamille to shut up and act like the weapon he is. That it also shares a face with the Hyaku Shiki goes hand in hand with how Kamille has been influenced by Char and not in strictly positive ways. Kamille ends up trying to adopt Char's blunted emotional state, even if he's too caring for that

There are certain fans who act like the AEUG are bastions of morality, conveniently forgetting that Kamille was essentially press ganged into service at threat of death. That the Zeta doesn't have a mouth is a direct statement at what the private, CORPORATE, millitary group wants from Kamille, for/

Mobile Suit character design in regards to their pilots is one of my favorite topics, because it can inform so much about a character. The Zeta is meant to be a reflection of Kamille, he built it. But instead of the MKII'S normal Gundam face, it uses the much angrier looking Hyaku Shiki type face

I love you kat, you're so not okay

I also appreciate how much more this show actually displays how horrific so much of this is

like when kat says this it's really easy to immediately understand it's INSANE because right before it you see like a genuinely really grotesque shot

I like this show

That he wants to be reborn as a bird too and what does his Gundam have? A unique core fighter with bird wings that he uses to fly his way to the Phenex, a mobile suit that also has ties to bird imagery and wings

The Narrative having a Core Fighter DOES contribute to the themes of the movie. Rita's main recurring piece of dialog is a reference to her wanting to be reborn as bird. The symbolism being that she, as an abused test subject trapped in a machine, wanted freedom. Jona ends the movie by saying/

This helps confirm some things about Katejina that I've always thought. It gives a name to her father's company (Loos Company, not to be confused with Luio & Co) and has very wonderfully vague comments about Karma and grudges being important to Katejina and her story

This tells us when exactly Uso’s parents left. His father left when he was 9 and his mom left "6 months before the fighting started."

Also, that Shakti page didn't say anything about the woman who raised her in Kaserelia

Apparently Shakti was not her original name, google translate shows that it was something like "Asillia", it also explains how Shakti and Maria were separated
