Whatever happened to #AARP? You know, the organization that kills millions of trees sending out requests for money. Are they actually doing anything? Are they suing SSA over cuts, or just giving interviews to the media telling them “seniors are distressed”.

For years it has been reported that critical govt agencies are using computer systems from the 1980s. So if all of the experts on COBOL and FORTRAN resign. Do we go back to manual systems? Those old systems don’t use open source. Its’s all custom code. The effort and cost would put Y2K to shame.
