BMI isn’t a problematic measure because it sometimes misidentifies football players as fat.

it’s problematic because it’s a tool that’s used to make arbitrary cutoffs that impede individuals access basic to healthcare and stigmatize them.

its inaccuracy should not overshadow its redundancy.

Yup happy holidays...the time of year extended family at the dinner table ask me about what I study and I answer "eating disorders and suicide" and am met with awkward silence...now I don't bother with explaining sense of hope/purpose and just ask someone to pass the sweet potatoes instead :)
