I continue to be crap at social media, but I had the absolute joy of working on this trilogy and it’s reminded me why I love fantasy so much. If selkies, swashbuckling, and the overthrowing of a tyrannical admiralty could be your thing I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Honestly, given my complete lack of skill and effort with social media and marketing in general, it’s a constant miracle that I get any work at all.

Both can definitely work in the same book though.

The state of most of the world continues to make me sad and angry, but books are always a comfort, and the late, great #TerryPratchett always has some relevant wisdom.

Here’s hoping everyone stops being dicks and we don’t need to try and survive in a dystopian wasteland!

The world seems to be going backwards while on fire, but I’ve gone from one dog to two, which is always nice.

The fact that billionaires could choose to be Batman, yet they almost invariably choose to be Lex Luthor is an endless disappointment to me.

My favourite author died ten years ago today. I cried then and I’ll probably cry again today, but I’ll be forever grateful for everything his work taught me. I never met him, but he certainly did change the way I think.

GNU Sir Terry Pratchett.

In honour of World Book Day and because I’m perpetually angry about the state of the world lately but can’t do much about it, 50% off copy/line editing or proofreading for 3 indie authors writing LGBTQIA+ books! #worldbookday #indieauthors #bookeditor

It’s difficult not to find the state of the world VERY depressing at the moment. At least there are books. Books are nice.

I’m seeing a lot of indie authors talking about declining Amazon sales and KU reads, and while I completely understand why people are boycotting the Zon, as a reader I still want to support indie authors, and for many of them it’s their biggest or only source of income.

Seems like a good time for a re-read. No reason… #booksky

Am I good at maintaining an effective social media presence?
No.
But do I work hard at it?
No.
But will I get better now I’ve made an account on another platform?
Probably also no.
