Rabbi, my copy of the book just arrived and it's great. Having said that, I'm not sure it does exactly what you're looking for. The chapter on Naboth's vineyard is probably the closest (and imho is so so good) but there are a few pages (with relevant footnotes) in the appendix

Yes, exactly right. That's what I would anticipate (re "Jesus-y"), that Jesus is a big part of that off-ramp!

I just ordered (but haven't read, so can't say yet!) Reading the Bible on Turtle Island. It's published by IVP so will certainly be Jesus-y at times. But it might have something helpful? Would love to hear what resources you find for this.

A senior scholar in my field did this when I published an article as a junior scholar (one that I was nervous about!). I saved the email and look back at it regularly. It meant so much!
