I remember Oregon getting screwed out of the BCS championship game on Jan 3, 2002 in favor of a lame ass Nebraska team (that lost to Colorado).
Ducks beat Colorado 38-16 on Jan 1, 2002. Great game - #GoDucks - but that Duck team deserved a shot at Miami for the Championship.

Teams practice and prepare all year. Coaches are responsible for having the team ready to go on game day. They have calendars, they know what they need to do to succeed.
