Incredible. Great to see shareholders demanding #ANZ do better on #FossilFuel financing!
Over 1 in 4 #ANZ shareholders have today voted for the bank to tighten its transition plan requirements for fossil fuel clients.

It's time for ANZ to listen to #climate scientists and its own shareholders, and stop financing companies expanding coal, oil and gas.

This morning @actionaidaustralia.bsky.social is attending #ANZ’s AGM with @marketforces.org.au to ask about its continued financing of fossil fuels & their impact on climate & women’s rights. ANZ has given the most $ to Woodside & Santos of all Aus banks - $1.8bn since the #parisagreement

Check out this new report released by @actionaidaustralia.bsky.social. It is 2024 and Aus banks are still funding fossil fuels with devastating impacts on women around the world. Ft. case studies across the Pacific, Africa, and Asia, about impacts on women
❗ NEW REPORT ❗ Australia’s Big Four banks are not only fuelling the #ClimateCrisis, they’re also fuelling a #WomensRights crisis.

It's time for the banks to rule out all forms of financing to fossil fuel companies!
