There's probably at least 10k exceptionally bright, charismatic, energetic, and morally upstanding people in this country who, with the right experience, could do the president's job extremely well.

A functional democracy would draw candidates from that pool, but we wound up with that dimwhit pedo.

That's their playbook. They had a hard time getting adults hooked on AI because most of us live just fine without it, so they go to the kids.

If you replace some of their creative skills with habitual prompting, then they'll depend on AI, then you've got an entire generation as a captive market.

If you haven't already, you've got to read Effortless Mastery by Kenny Werner. It was a game changer for me in college.

We can never forget that the Democrats thought they could just tee up a known sex offender and that we'd just go along with it.

Schumer and all the other Dems who wouldn't endorse Mandami NEED to be primaried next chance we get. It can't be water under the bridge.

If they let Trump run for a third term, all bets are off.

And then when they realize the work they do is ethically unconscionable, they'll be applying for other companies with a high school diploma and skills that are only good for the stuff Palantir does. Best get over it and go back to work tomorrow.

An uneducated population is a compliant population.

Also, that same teacher in a TikTok after school:
"Yall, these kids cannot put their devices away! What are parents doing st home?"

Everything about these indicates that they're ignoring the intent of school social media policies without technically breaking them. It's like they read the policy in PD thinking "So I can still make TikToks in class as long as I don't do these things" instead of thinking about doing their damn job.

The solutions are simple. Boost funding and implement real oversight to make sure said funding is effectively used. Increase frequency, reliability, and enforce basic rules diligently. Find revenue sources other than just fares, such as congestion pricing, and modernize outdated systems.

Not to mention most train cars and buses have some form of antisocial behavior on them, usually either smoking, belligerence, or loud audio devices, and there's never an effort to formally or informally enforce basic norms.

"Look at what the right is doing in Chi-"
Yeah, it's really bad. We know. Now fund our schools and transit.

I love this! Taking modern photos with very vintage equipment needs to be more of a thing. Imagine side-by-side comparisons of bustling downtown streets taken 100 years apart with the same camera technology.

With the immense concentration of wealth, expertise, and culture, major cities like Chicago should be education powerhouses.

Instead, we let 300k+ kids get a barebones education so that two dozen billionaires can enjoy low taxes and watch their fortunes grow.

A book should be something you can pick up and hold.

It should be something you can display as a way of showing people what you value.

A book shouldn't ping you with distracting notifications.

A monopolistic corporation shouldn't be able to make edits to the book or remove it entirely on a whim.
