First draft of my first manuscript is finally done! 🥹

Chapter 35/55 done! 😪 Did I bite off more than I can chew with attempting to write a fantasy novel on my first go? 🫠

Eclipse season has got me serious about writing. Have I really entered my author era? 🤔

Also, is it just me, or do writers tend to crave more carbs when they write? What is up with that? I’ve been struggling with myself mentally to not order a box of pizza for just myself for the third time this week and it’s only Wednesday. 😪

I’m almost halfway done writing my first draft of my first novel. It’s only taken me 3 years. 😅 I knew there would be a lot of work going into writing high fantasy, but aside from taking notes from Jed Herne and @brandonsanderson.com, this journey has felt a little lonely. I need writer friends. ✍🏼

Write new worlds. Write beautiful places. Write angry people. Write imaginary beasts, futile quests, broken hearts, lifelong injustices, mysteries, love affairs, lost children, newfound purpose. Write anything that allows you to escape or heal or vent or rage or explore or reconcile. Write 🖤

Been feeling under the weather these past few days, but it’s given me the time to flush out my book outline! Now to get to the hard part… actually writing it. 🤭
