No. Probably not. But often health issues impact each other. Like I have autoimmune stuff too. Not due to my lymphedema- but they love to work together to make me feel like dog crap! When I get inflammation from a flare up, my lymphedema flares too.

Lymphedema is unrelated to heart issues. People can have both though. I have lymphedema and my ankles would look like this for the rest of my life if I was not meticulous about my compression and treatments- but it will not shorten my life. But edema can have several causes. Heart issues are one.

And they are more likely to be misdiagnosed as having ODD and then not getting the treatment they need.

Yup. Sometimes our treatment goals aren’t about “making progress” but about maintaining status quo. USUALLY if we phrase justification for cont treatment is to keep clients from regressing and needing higher levels of care, it works. Insurance REALLY doesn’t want to pay for inpatient.
