2✌️updates to our Nuclear Warhead Inventories chart that nuke nerds will love

1. We wrapped STOCKPILES in grey to delineate from total inventories (which includes retired warheads awaiting dismantlement)

2. I fixed the y-axis so DPRK isn't cut off anymore

Thanks @nukestrat.bsky.social as always

In turn, their work inspires ours, and makes us ask: how else can we bring the evidence to the front of any discussion on nuclear weapons? How else can we keep the public informed when politics and power has every reason to want to keep them in the dark?

Though @scientistsorg.bsky.social contribution to nuke world is primarily via facts and statistics, we have the pleasure and honor of being the go-to resource of organizations with long traditions of promoting disarmament and peace.

Eighty years ago, we witnessed the start of the atomic age.

Every year at @scientistsorg.bsky.social we mark the anniversary of the Trinity Test -- that was the very moment that began the nonproliferation tradition into which our organization was born.

🥵🥵Trump is making this summer HOT HOT HOT by...

- deleting the interagency National Heat Strategy (oops! have fun sweating!)
- firing NWS staff who monitor extreme temps
- canceling FEMA funds for heat resilience + mitigation
- dismantling OSHA regulations that protect workers from excessive temps
