Okay folks, it's time: I'm hiring!
Looking for 5(!) developer relations engineers across the world! Our company is remote-first but this role involves in-person appearances at events so although you don't need to work in a specific office we are focusing our search in specific metro areas:

I finally watched Sinners... And it was incredible! And I can confirm that it was not any scarier than Buffy so it passed my Buffy horror index and I should have watched it months ago instead of being a big wimp.

I am looking for a full-time job.
Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me.
If you know of a role for a staff-level TypeScript+web developer, let me know! 🙂

Kind of amazing to think about how different the world might be today if PayPal had just... failed early on and shut down. You can trace so much nonsense today back to PayPal getting bailed out by eBay.

Not to be THAT dictionary, but…
It’s ‘per se,’ not ‘per say.’
It’s ‘dog-eat-dog world,’ not ‘doggy-dog world.’
It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’
It’s ‘one and the same,’ not ‘one in the same.’
It's 'buck naked,' not 'butt naked.'

WTF WordPress? Blocks now render all their styles inline? How the heck do you enqueue one block's style from another block?

I wish there was a better way for front end rendering blocks with custom templates. Like using a rest API but not building all the rendered components in react. Like a templating engine? Does that exist?

if you were going to launch a modal from the cart and that modal was going to display some block-based content (specifically an add to cart form), do we think it would be better to render the modal's content in the footer? or fetch it asyncronously?
