I think that is a highly accurate guess - I haven't done a very deep dive but another commonality is they tend to be boomers when recordkeeping was a lot looser and people could easily shift identities (for good and for bad)

it's the largest federally recognized tribe so "more likely"??
(and imho, this guy appears to be more Pacific Islander / Asian - I find it curious he hasn't released what he learned - unless I missed that)
