(especially given, for all that I've seen, the game just looks a bit mid?)

Unsurprising but it sure does feel gross seeing news like this knowing the money this licence generates was directly partially responsible for stripping away my rights in my country.

Seeing people tie themselves in knots over reasons to play *this one game* really just comes off as embarrassing now

Did you not read it either?
He specifically mentions AI being used in concept art and placeholder text
then his clarifying statement goes further to say theyre investing in cutting edge ML tools for their creative teams
"they aren't using it in the game" is an absolutely baffling mischaracterisation

But Labour are currently absolutely brainwashed by AI lobbying so this outcome is seen as a non-option given every AI firm keeps saying getting permission for every bit of training data would kill their industry dead. Honestly their responses to the consult are embarrassing
December 16, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Most of their alternate proposals were also bafflingly unworkable so it is of no surprise that most people chose to back the least recommended outcome of the consultation, which was strengthening copyright law and requiring explicit licensing for using someone's work as training data

They admitted the tech doesnt exist and they dont know how it would work
As someone whose work dips both into the tech and creative fields I was very aware that this magic technology literally isnt possible to implement
And made that very clear in my responses
Its a pure fantasy cooked up by AI bros

So I took the time to participate in one of these consultations, I assume its the same one referenced here.

The proposals were genuinely baffling. Their main idea was to rely on a *new currently non-existent* universal online licensing system that you have to use to *opt-out* of AI usage for.

smh

See this is exactly why my brain just automatically files any announcement that doesn't have proper gameplay and at least a release *window* as basically non-news. I get the business reasons for doing these *earlier than early* announcements but good grief it's hard to get excited about them.

100% with you there. Yoku's Island Express made me realise every genre would be improved with the gameplay being pinball

I dont have anything diagnosed/dont think I have photosensitivity but even then some of the flashing lights made my head hurt and I had to turn away. Deeply unpleasant at times.

Ive not played/am not interested in Clair Obscur but it seems to have resonated with so many people in a way I dont often see so Im really glad they swept the awards part of the show. Seems to be really deserved.

Yeah

Not great

Oh boy

As always amazed that they still have technical issues with the streaming. I know its a big show so it must put a lot of strain on the infrastructure around it but good lord

I really enjoyed the Federation cast of Prime 4 but as a *gay woman* Nora Armstrong really resonated with me in a very silly way. Wonderful characterisation. Also really appreciate the efforts made to not make her armour super gendered or anything like that. Quite refreshing haha
